One cannot fail to take into account the Theatre as an artistic expression, it is Jose Trinidad Reyes who initiates this noble and cultured artistic expression not only in Honduras but also in Central America. He was the creator of dramatic pieces with a Christmas theme, which he named "Pastorelas".

These, in the original version, were lost, it is Dr. Romulo E. Duron who at the end of the XIX century, collected handwritten copies, so some texts were rescued like: Noemi, Micol (1838), Neftalia (1840), Zelfa, Rubenia, Elisa, Albano and Olimpia and published them with the name of Pastorelas (1905). It also evokes "Floro" or "La pastorela del diablo", which hardly seems to belong to Father Reyes. Likewise, Father Reyes wrote dramatic pieces of short dimension such as "La Adoración de los Reyes Magos” (The Adoration of the Holy Kings"),

Adoration of the Holy Kings"), "Dialogos” (Dialogues) and “El Niño Dios perdido y hallado en el templo, disputando con los Doctores”. (Child God lost and found in the temple, disputing with the Doctors). The latter was not published by R. Duron because he was still working on its restoration.
