INTRODUCTION

 

The course of the history of Honduras continues with the so-called "Spanish conquest" from the sixteenth century, characterized by a series of changes in different aspects: in the political, there is a new rearrangement of the territory and institutions for control and government, in the social order, the fusion of three racial elements: In the social order, the fusion of three racial elements: peninsular or white, African and aboriginal or native gives rise to what has been called mestizaje; the introduction of new types of animal species, generate changes in economic activities, adding to these, the extraction of the subsoil with mining activity; all these economic, political and social relations gave rise to the origin of what today we can consider the main cities with their different architectural layouts and constructions of religious, civil, political and military type.
