In the social order, the fusion of three racial elements: peninsular or white, African and aboriginal or native gives rise to other racial variants such as mestizo (son of Spanish with Indian), mulatto (son of white with black), Zambo (son of black with Indian), Creole (Spanish with Spanish) until reaching the ladino which is the fusion of the three elements mentioned above; on the other hand there is the imposition and adoption of Catholicism as religion and Spanish as a language.
The birth of the Mestizaje
The arrival of European conquerors and African slaves to the New World meant the rupture of the ethnic unity and culture that the American Indians had until then. From that moment on, a gigantic biological cross between Indians, whites and blacks initiated, which would be favored by very diverse factors.
